Continuation…
The story of the talented Ukrainian student does not end. Miron Drokin is successfully studying at the Faculty of Arts, which he entered without any problems with preparation from AMARU in Mariánské Lázně. He even passed the exams at 3 medical faculties and after much thought chose the faculty closest to him both in terms of distance from home and in terms of feelings. From the Karlovy Vary region, this student will receive a substantial subsidy every year for the duration of his studies, which will help him finance accommodation, transport and study needs. Given the results he sent immediately in an SMS message after the grueling test, we certainly all wish him the best.
An interview with the successful student Sofia Lipina, who studied at the AMAR school in Mariánské Lázně in 2023/24. After a one-year course, she successfully passed the exams for the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Faculty in Brno for the field of veterinary medicine and for the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology.
1· How long were you in the Czech Republic before you started attending AMAR courses?
I came to the Czech Republic for the AMAR courses, I had never been to the Czech Republic before but I wanted to study here.
2· Is Czech a difficult language for you?
Surprisingly, Czech was not a problem for me. This language is similar with my mother tongue. My Czech teachers Mrs. Černá and Mrs. Rollová explained all the material clearly.
3· What was and is the hardest thing in Czech for you?
Speaking, listening and reading were not difficult for me, but the most difficult part was grammar, which is difficult in all languages.
4· Which professional subject do you like best: biology, chemistry or physics?
My favorite subject is biology, which contains topics useful and interesting for life.
5· Which of these subjects was difficult for you in terms of a foreign language?
Biology was the most difficult for me. This subject contains a lot of terms. And there is also a huge amount of information about various topics in biology.
6· Were you afraid of the entrance exams? Why? Language barriers or some professional subject?
Yes, I was afraid of entrance exams because exams are always stressful for me.
7· Would you take the exams without a year's preparation at AMAR?
I wouldn't have taken the entrance exams without a preparatory course, because I didn't know Czech at all, and the courses also helped me learn professional subjects in Czech. I also learned information that we did not learn in school.
Thanks to Mariánské Lázně
... after many years I have successfully passed my accreditation in the field of cardiology and this marks the end of my studies in the Czech Republic, which began in Mariánské Lázně. Of course education never truly ends, especially in our field, however it should continue "simply and smoothly". Thank you for the provided education solid ground, which assisted me in my studies, work, and personal development.
